TOWARDS A
MORE RESPONSIBLE APPROACH
As a major fashion player in Canada, we are conscious of the current challenges and efforts of our industry, and we want to take our eco-responsible vision to the next level.
Because our planet is our precious legacy to the future generations.
Because we are committed to staying true to our values, which guide us towards a more respectful, responsible, and sustainable industry.
And, above all, because every gesture counts. Even the smallest.

"Our planet is not invincible. So, it's really important for me, for la Vie en Rose, and for future generations to take small steps. I have taken it upon myself to set a certain example by the end of my career."
François Roberge
President & CEO of la Vie en Rose
At la Vie en Rose, we are mindful of our ecological footprint and on a journey to make a positive impact. The sale of reusable bags in stores is one of the many actions we have taken to contribute to the fight against climate change.
We are proud to announce that this initiative has raised $1 million to support nature conservation and reduce greenhouse gases. All the proceeds will be donated to environmental organizations striving, like us, to protect our planet and create a more sustainable future.
This year, it's with great pride that we gave away $1 million
to six Canadian organizations dedicated to environmental preservation.

ECO-FRIENDLY
PACKAGING
We prioritize resource-efficient packaging solutions to avoid unnecessary waste.
CARDBOARDS
On average, we recycle 36 tons of cardboard every year. We reuse all the cardboard boxes we receive to ship orders to the stores. Non-reusable boxes are compressed into bundles: each bundle weighs around 250 kg.
SHOPPING BAGS
We now invite our customers to bring their own reusable bag to the stores. If they forget to, we have a limited supply of eco-friendly canvas bags, entirely made of recycled materials, available as a backup option. They are sold at a unit price, and all proceeds are donated to organizations supporting nature conservation and reforestation (Nature Conservancy Canada and Tree Canada).
PLASTIC
All the clear plastic we receive (including polybags, stretch film, etc.) is compressed so we can recycle around 6 tons annually.

ECO-CITIZEN BEHAVIOR
ECO-CITIZEN
BEHAVIOR
We sensitize our staff and business partners to make small ecological actions every day.
MINIMIZING PAPER PRINTS
Our employees take online training modules to avoid printed manuals. We also reduce the production of posters in stores by using digital screens whenever possible.
REDUCE USAGE OF SINGLE-USE ITEMS
At our head office, we don’t distribute cardboard cups and plastic stir sticks for coffee or any other beverage anymore. We encourage our staff to use the reusable mug we give them as a welcome gift.
RECYCLE PROPERLY
Our current recycling policy incite the staff to follow the proper recycling rules.
TAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORT
We encourage our head office and distribution center employees to use public transport and carpooling.
INVOLVE OUR SUPPLY CHAIN
We work hand in hand with our suppliers to significantly reduce the use of plastic bags to package the goods delivered to our distribution center. We also make sure to return the lingerie hangers that are in good condition to them, which they reuse to send lingerie or swimsuits back. Since 2014, more than 7,800,000 hangers have been going back and forth!
SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
We are committed and involved! Our contributions serve many causes and help protect the environment.
CUTTING DOWN TEXTILE WASTE
Damaged or defective clothing is rarely destroyed or thrown away. We work with a third party who assists us in diverting our damaged textiles from landfill. Scrap fabric is given to a textile recycler for conversion into fibers that can be repurposed.
USED UNDERGARMENTS COLLECTION
Our annual bra collection raises funds for the Breast Cancer Foundation. The collected bras are given to an organization that helps protect the environment by minimizing the landfilling of clothing thanks to its sorting centers, and by giving a second life to these pieces.
